In the last 40 days economic activity has started to make a comeback, construction work has resumed working and millennial having spent most time at home are now keen to buy their own property. This has led to many first time homebuyers exploring the residential real estate. Entrepreneurs have learned to create more with less and technology has become an enabler and a game changer. I wish and hope the coming months for real estate will be welcoming & prosperous. Mr. Ved Prakash Dudeja, Vice Chairman, Rail Land Development Authority, “Presently RLDA is working on over 90 commercial sites which are greenfield projects across the country, we are also handling redevelopment of 62 stations & 84 railway colonies in different parts of country. Despite lockdown RLDA has been working relentlessly. In past one and half years, we have commenced work on 27 land parcels, 7 railway stations and 4 colony development projects. During the Covid, real estate & infrastructure industry stand at the cross road of policy framework & technological advancement. We need to look at this crisis as an opportunity to find new direction and success in the long term. ‘Make in India’ is need of the hour to generate employment for our youth. And undoubtedly, real estate and infrastructure play a significance role in shaping the nation’s growth."
