Ghaziabad development body to meet 25 developers
The Ghaziabad Development Authority has on Friday scheduled a meetingwith 25-odd builders to assess the progress of their projects and handing over of flats to buyers. Officials said there were 27 builders whose projects are coming up in Ghaziabad. But while directors of one of the developers are untraceable since the project is mired in controversy, the other builder has filed a liquidation case in court. Sources said the meeting was planned after an examination of the projects revealed that a majority of them were way behind schedule. “Of the 27 builders whose projects are coming up in Ghaziabad, barring Manju J Homes and Value Infra Pvt Ltd, all are expected to attend the meeting. They have been asked to present their status reports on the number of flats pending,” said VN Singh, officer on special duty, GDA. “The owners of Manju J Homes, who has its project in Morta, are absconding while Value Infra Pvt Ltd has filed a liquidation case in court,” added Singh. Officials in the GDA said ever since a ministerial committee was set up last year by the Yogi Adityanath government to resolve the builder-buyer issue, developers have handed over 43% of the total flats they are building to buyers.
