Embassy of France in India organized a business seminar in New Delhi on Oct 25th for promoting Indo-French trade & commerce . The event held in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) was addressed by French Minister of State for Industry, Christophe Sirugue. Talking to Realty Plus, Sirugue said that France can be considered the Silicon Valley of Europe and it provides an attractive investment destination for Indian industries due to its simplified administrative systems and ease of setting up businesses. “France is the largest market in Europe which has investor friendly policies and a free business environment. The country integrates creativity with innovation to create a stable and marketable economy. In India, French companies have a visible presence and they are part of the Make in India, Smart Cities, Digital India and Skill India initiatives of the Indian government. However, bilateral trade needs to grow further to be commensurate with the potential of the two nations,” he added. Dr.A Didar Singh, Secretary General, FICCI commented, “The Indian business community looks forward to forging new partnerships with French businesses and give impetus to the Indo-French trade and investment relations.”
