The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) issued a final notice to real estate developer Supertech Ltd for allegedly cheating customers for a non-existent residential project. A HRERA official said it was a peculiar case wherein neither the project nor any plan was approved but still dwellings units were allegedly sold by the developer. The notice was issued on a complaint filed by Sanjay Yadav of Sector 46 here against Supertech Limited, which has its office in Gurugram's Sector 68. The complainant had booked a flat on February 5, 2016 and deposited Rs 10,26,033 and another Rs 17,175 as service charges with Messrs Investors Clinic for a dwelling unit. In June last year, a representative of the builder told the complainant that the project wherein the complainant had booked the unit was not going to be implemented and asked him to opt for any other company project. The complainant's counsel said his client is not appearing before HRERA for compensation but for fulfilment of the promoter's obligation under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.
