Draft ready, but passage of Maharashtra's land titling bill gets delayed
Clearance from the law and judiciary department and some technical issues are delaying passage of the land titling bill in the state legislative assembly. The assembly session is yet to take up the land titling bill, for which the draft is ready. Even as its passage has been pending for two years, the assembly may not be able to clear the bill during the ongoing session that is getting over within a few more days, senior government officials said. The government could have set an example in clearing the draft of the land titling bill to ensure complete land titling in Maharshtra and help other states replicate it, an official said.
