DDA to help residents in upkeep of buildings
Delhi Development Authority is going to help residents of all DDA colonies in carrying out maintenance of residential buildings and neighbourhood parks on the lines of online home service providers. DDA will create a panel of service providers who will supply pre-verified electricians, gardeners, plumbers, guards, lift operators, horticulture and conservancy staff, etc. It has already invited proposals for empanelment of such service providers for maintenance by residents’ welfare associations (RWAs). “The objective is to provide technical support to RWAs of the DDA-developed colonies and wherever required to supplement their efforts in getting maintenance work executed,” said an official. DDA will provide a list of experienced agencies that will work under the supervision of RWAs, he added.
