Consumer forum directs Emerging Valley to refund buyer's money
State consumer disputes redressel commission directed Emerging Valley Private Limited to refund Rs 13 lakh and pay Rs 1 lakh as compensation for failing to give timely possession of the flat to a Sector 45 resident. They were asked to refund the money along with 12% interest per annum from the date of deposit till realisation. MeeraRawat had filed a complaint seeking refund of the amount paid by her towards the purchase of residential flat, vide provisional allotment letter dated April 25, 2014, against total sale consideration of Rs 18.25lakh. The project named Premium Trinity Homes by Emerging Valley is situated in LandranBanur Road in Mohali. She said that despite receiving a substantial amount, the builders failed to deliver the possession of the apartment.
