There won't be any need to approach state government to obtain NOC (No Objection Certificate) for constructions. The Center has decentralized the authority to bring ease in the approvals for the construction and supervise its implementation. The authority has been passed to the local bodies instead of state government now. The Center has brought out a gazette notification to this effect, stated a CREDAI release. “This decision will facilitate handing over property to the consumers on time. Earlier the complex procedure would make the completion of construction projects time-consuming. It was also inconvenient for the consumers as well. The office bearers of CREDAI had followed-up several times with then Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar to make the process easier. Kumar Gera, Satish Magar, Manish Kaneria, Sarvesh Javadekar, I. P. Inamdar, Akhil Agarwal, Manish Sabade and Suhas Merchant had pursued this issue time and again. The decision came only because of Javadekar's initiative”, said Shantilal Kataria, President of the CREDAI Pune Metro who is also a member of the National Environment Committee. "The State Government has been ordered to change the construction rules of local bodies to implement this decision immediately. Not only this, all constructions with more than 5000 sq. mtrs. have been asked to obtain this certificate which was 20,000 sq. mtrs. earlier," stated the CREDAI release.
