The India Green Energy Awards are organized by the Indian Federation of Green Energy,  a body of visionaries and stakeholders from diverse industries, business and services for creating a sustainable energy ecosystem. CleanMax Solar’s Sedam project was commissioned in March 2018 under Karnataka’s 2014 Open access policy which enables large businesses to switch to solar power in a low-risk and zero-investment manner. In total, the project will abate 150,000 tons of CO2 annually. On this occasion, Mr. Andrew Hines, Co-Founder, CleanMax Solar, said “We are extremely humbled and honoured to receive this prestigious and nationally recognised award from the Indian Federation of Green Energy. CleanMax Solar commissioned Karnataka’s first open access solar farm in 2016, and we have executed three more such projects in 2017 and 2018.  Our Sedam farm supplies solar power to leading IT companies, manufacturers and other corporates in Bangalore and across Karnataka. The Sedam project, the largest of its kind across India, has reaffirmed our belief that large corporates are eager to play their part in fighting climate change by switching to clean energy for their operations.”
