Chandigarh's property tax collection for April increases
By the end of the first month of the financial year, the municipal corporation has collected Rs 6.10 crore in residential and commercial property tax from 17,000-odd payers. This is Rs 2.3 crore more than the money made in the April of 2018. People had only two months (April and May) to pay and get rebate, and now they are left with the rest of May to comply in order to avoid the penalty and interest.
