Building activity in merged villages swells Pune
The spike in construction activity in the newly-merged villages has swelled the civic coffers with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) mopping up Rs34crore from building permission and development charges. Nearly 4.5 lakh square feet of new constructions have been carried out in these villages since their merger with the city limits over a year ago.
