Builders booked for duping flat buyers
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police has booked two directors of a real estate firm for duping flat buyers to the tune of over Rs 6 crore. The builder and his wife were booked under the Maharashtra Flat Owners Act (MOFA) for allegedly taking bookings for flats and then selling them to third parties. The builder has denied claims saying it was a false case and he had filed a case against the complainant in the city civil court.
