Bailable Warrant against Unitech Director

A bailable warrant for a sum of Rs50,000 was issued today, against Sanjay Chandra, Director- Unitech Ltd. The action was pertaining to the non-compliance of a Delhi consumer commission order. The bench passed the order on a plea moved by complainants SairaMansoor and MansoorEllahi submitting that the firm's property, which was to be attached as per Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission earlier order, was already mortgaged with the bank and its two bank accounts did not have money. According to complaint, Saira and Ellahi had booked a flat in the firm's proposed project in Greater Noida.The firm had issued an allotment letter in 2006 by which the purchasers had to get the possession of the flat by 2008.
