To draw the attention of UP chief minister towards the plight of 42,000 investors stuck in various Amrapali projects, a homebuyers’ collective on Wednesday urged local MLA Pankaj Singh to help arrange a meeting with Yogi Adityanath, where they can demand a ‘stress fund’ to expedite the completion of over 30,000 pending flats by the developer. The CM will visit the city on June 14. Though the final order in the Amrapali case is still pending in the Supreme Court, a bench comprising justicesArun Mishra and UU Lalit had earlier asked Noida Authority if it could complete the pending work of Amrapali. The Authority, however, told the court that it was not “technically competent and lacked expertise to take up the task”. And according to an earlier estimate by the government-backed construction agency, NBCC, Rs 8,500 crore will have to be put together for completion of the delayed flats.
