After a delay of more than a year, the much awaited Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) web portal will finally be launched on August 1. Though the Telangana government had issued the rules and appointed a temporary regulatory authority a few months ago, Rera rules are not being implemented in the state as of now. A web portal is required for the registration of real estate developers, builders and real estate agents as well as for receiving complaints from the public. The state’s municipal administration department inked an agreement with Maha online Ltd, a JV between the Maharashtra government and TCS, to develop and maintain the Rera portal for Telangana. Officials said Maha online will maintain the Telangana Rera website for three years and upgrade it as and when required. The site will be linked to GPS, enabling people to track even the location of the real estate project. The MA&UD department has already issued orders on the registration charges that will go to the web portal operators.
