Over 500 homebuyers are worried about their investments in Vardhman Flora residential housing project, where construction has been at a standstill for over two years. Situated in Sector 90, the 10-acre project was launched in 2012. The builder, Shree Vardhman Group, had promised possession by 2015, but even after seven years of its launch, it is only 50% complete. Homebuyers said they have been staging protests against the builder and running pillar to post for their homes, but in vain. A court case was filed against the developer over a three-year delay in handover of flats in the Sector 90 project. Not only did the buyers file a court case, they also approached Rera to demand action against the developer. Around 1,200 buyers of Vardhaman Mantra, another project of Shree Vardhman Group, are also struggling to get their homes eight years after booking. Launched in 2010, the builder had promised delivery by 2014 but none of the units have been delivered till date. Mantra homebuyers also said despite lodging a complaint on the chief minister’s window, no action has been taken against the developer.
