10th Realty Plus Conclave & Excellence Awards 2018, a huge success!

Real Estate Fraternity in Ahmedabad Engages in an Exhilarating Discussion on ‘Building The Urban Future’ Thought-inspiring conversations on Building The Urban Future through smart infrastructure made the 10th edition of the Reality Plus Conclave & Excellence Awards 2018 strike an instant chord with the real estate fraternity in Ahmedabad today. The conclave also celebrated one year of RERA, diving deep into the challenges faced over the year and solutions to overcome them. While the discussions provided much food for thought on the current challenges faced by the realty sector, the conclave played host to a number of innovative ideas that could provide solutions. The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the  Realty Plus coffee table book titled ‘Homes For All- India’s on Top 100 Affordable Housing Projects’ in association with JLL as the knowledge partner. The conclave got its dose of vigor from a riveting plenary session on ‘Building Smart Infrastructure for Liveable Cities’. Moderated by Ar. Jayesh Hariyani (Chairman -IGBC’s Green-Smart Cities Rating System & CMD, Senior Principal - INI Design Studio), the panel comprised of eminent personalities like Kamal Singal (CEO & MD, Arvind SmartSpaces Ltd), Chitrak Shah (Co-Founder & Managing Director- Shivalik Group), N K Patel (Chairman - Institute of Town Planner's (INDIA) Gujarat Chapter & Sun Builders Group), Gautam Madan (Director Marketing Asia Pacific- Honeywell Building Solutions), Atul Desai (Executive Director & CEO-RMC (India) division of Prism Johnson Limited), Rajesh Sharaschandra Phadke (Chief Architect and Planner -GIFT City). The other plenary session on ‘One Year of RERA – Challenges & Solutions’ was an equally exciting discussion moderated by Amit Wadhwani (Founder, SAI Estate Consultants). Dignitaries from the realty sector like Dhruv N Patel (Hon. Secretary Gujarat Institute of Housing & Estate Developers GIHED –CREDAI), Deep Vadodaria (Director, Nila Spaces Ltd), Sanjay Gupta (Sadgun Realty Mumbai), Jayesh Kariya (Real Estate Consultant & Chartered Accountant), Anand Choksi (Managing Director, The Real Estate CONNECT), and Dr Vatsal Patel (Technical Officer – RERA Gujarat) participated in the invigorating talk. Brief interactive session on ‘Going Green is the Way Forward’ was conducted by Vasudevan Suresh (Chairman - IGBC Policy & Advocacy Committee) and ‘Impact of GST on Real-estate’ by Gurudas Pai (Partner- Indirect Tax, Pwc India) was well received by the stalwarts from the industry. Amit Wadhwani, Founder Sai Estate consultants from Mumbau gave an interesting talk on the disrupting real estate services. He spoke about how the realty broking services are going through a paradigm shift. The Awards evening began with the warm address by the Chief Guest Vallabhbhai Kakadiya, Ex Minister of Transport (State Independent Charge) & BJP MLA.
