Sanjaya Gupta a Post Graduate in Business Management is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Under his able guidance as the Managing Director of PNB Housing Finance Limited since 2010, the Company has scaled new heights and has witnessed a sea change in its operational robustness and go to market strategy. As a consequence, today PNB Housing is the fifth largest Housing Finance Company (HFC) in the country; it is the fastest growing HFC with one of the best assets portfolio. The brand has been repositioned, with a pan India presence to be a significant player in the housing sector. PNB Housing, in the recent past, concluded a very successful IPO too; being the second largest IPO of 2016 which listed on the exchanges at a premium. Sanjay is an Independent Director at India Shelter Finance Corporation Ltd., where he also heads the Audit Committee of the Board and is on the NPS Committee of the PFRA to advice on investment in housing sector. Throughout his career spanning over 30 years, he has significantly contributed to mortgage industry and allied risk management products across geographies. He is often consulted by the policy makers for key changes in the sector. Sanjaya Gupta is a veteran with experience of over 23 years in retail mortgages and allied products like mortgage guarantee. He previously worked for 16 years with HDFC Ltd. with extensive responsibilities for developing and managing new business territories. Thereafter, he was the business head of retail mortgages for India and global mortgage operations head with ABN AMRO Bank NV. After the sale of ABN AMRO NV, he was appointed as the CEO of AIG United Guaranty where he spearheaded a PPP project on mortgage guaranty, between AIG Inc. NHB, IFC & ADB. He also co-founded a micro housing finance company which is operating in the state of Rajasthan.   Given PNB’s track record in successful and committed long standing customer relationships and customer-centric initiatives, I hope to spell a new beginning  in innovative housing finance for all Indians
