It is also a supplier of some of the world’s best large-format slabs. How had been your professional journey till now? From an early age I became well versed in the marble trade business and began trading in some of the most exotic varieties in imported marble. I was quick to realize that the Indian market much lacked exporters and traders in the marble industry. Anticipating this opportunity, I assembled a group of specialists in the field to found CMC in 1994. Since then, the organization has crossed many notable milestones and with his several initiatives, CMC has achieved a dominant status in the stones market today. In 2009, we ventured into the unchartered territory of composite stones. At a time when the Indian marble industry was predominantly operating in the natural stone segment, we launched a completely new segment to pioneer in the engineered marble and quartz products. This was launched as KalingaStone and which today is CMC’s flagship brand. What has been the brand philosophy of the company? Brand CMC represents a product array of all kinds of natural stones.
