A Chinese firm Greenland Group is set to build Western Europe's tallest residential skyscraper in London Docklands. The project Spire London will be completed in 2020 and comprise 67 storeys and 861 apartments. The project is located in Hertsmere Road, adjacent to Canary Wharf and directly fronting onto the 30 acres of water in West India Quay. The interiors of Spire London have been designed by Nicola Fontanella of Argent Design. The tower itself, designed by Larry Malcic and Christopher Colosimo of architects HoK, has been inspired by orchids - the building is made of three "petals".
