Real investors crosses North Korean borders
It looks like the Chinese real-estate investors would be the proverbial early birds that get the worm, when it comes to buying land in North Korea.South Korean investors are also betting on real estate in areas around the Demilitarized Zone that divides the Korean peninsula. Home Prices jumped 2% in April from a month earlier prices in Dandong, a Chinese town bordering the North Korea are rising. Prices jumped 2% in Aprilfrom a month earlier which is the biggest gain among 70 major Chinese cities. Also in the last month a new property sales in Dandong almost doubled from a year ago. The spike is not limited to North Korea’s border with China. South Korean investors are also betting on real estate in areas around the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) dividing Korean peninsula.
