Portland’s new science center
Hennebery Eddy Architects, is designing the Bend Science Station Learning Laboratories building, which will break ground on the OSU campus in October this year. Bend Science Station (BSS) will be a learning laboratory that would offer science education programs for K-12 students in Central Oregon.
The lab has been located in a space at Central Oregon Community College on its Chandler campus for 14years.
The new building will allow BSS to increase its capacity, deliver new programming and develop new partnerships, including collaboration with OSU-Cascades in the teaching and learning of science. It will also give young students an early look at a university campus.
