Plans for Manchester's tallest building approved

Manchester’s tallest building - a 64-storey block of swanky flats has been given the green-light. The new Owen Street skyscraper is designed by architect, Ian Simpson. This project will contain 1,500 luxury flats and will comprise four separate blocks on the brownfield site off Owen Street near the Mancunian Way. The blocks will be 64, 50, 44 and 37-storeys high. The blueprints were approved by the city’s planning committee.
