Falkirk Britain’s Fastest Moving Property Market
Falkirk in Scotland has been identified as Britain's fastest-moving property market, with homes there taking 20 days to be snapped up typically. Bridgend in Wales and Waltham Forest in London were placed joint second on the list compiled by property website Zoopla. Overall, properties in the south of England are taking longer to sell typically, with only three local authorities there making the top 20. Alongside Waltham Forest, Bristol and Dartford were the only other southern locations to make the list. Oldham, Gedling, South Staffordshire, Mansfield, Trafford and Manchester came bottom of the top 20 list, with homes in these areas taking an average of 31 days to sell. The average UK house price jumped 4.7 per cent from September last year to the same month this year, reaching a record high of £245,000, data from the Office for National Statistics revealed.
