Tata Steel’s sales grow
Tata Steel said that its sales grew 6.56 per cent to 4.77 million tonnes during the first six months of the current fiscal. The sales for July-September quarter stood at 2.62 million tonnes, up by 12.4% as against 2.33 million tonnes in the same period last year, the company said. "Sales to automotive segment grew by seven per cent y-o-y in line with market growth, thereby retaining leadership position. Availability of additional volumes enabled 12 per cent y-o-y growth in sales to industrial products and projects segments," a statement said.
