Sundaram BNB Home Finance dips in Q2
Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance reported a 2.5% decline in second quarter profit to Rs 39 crore from Rs 40 crore for the same quarter last year. "While the small sized projects and upper end premium segment have done well in the first half, we are yet to see the real demand coming back in the mid segment which constitutes the big chunk of the real estate market. We believe that the second half of the year will provide a clearer picture of the recovery in this sector," said Srinivas Acharya, managing director, Sundaram Home Finance.
