Prism Johnson's net profit grows 321% in Q1 FY19

Prism Johnson registered a growth of 321% in its net profit during the quarter ending June 2018. Its profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 70.20 crore from Rs 16.69 crore it recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. The company's net income was Rs 1,600.87 crore as against Rs 1,466.34 crore it saw in the similar quarter previous fiscal. Prism Johnson's ready mix concrete segment became profitable in the quarter ending June and posted a profit of Rs 10.59 crore before tax. Revenue from the segment was Rs 373.30 crore, a 13% rise from Rs 329.82 crore it recorded in Apr-Jun 2017. Profit before tax (PBT) from the cement segment increased by 63% in the said quarter and stood at Rs 142.83 crore.
