PMRDA to speed up third corridor of Pune
The state government has classified the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro corridor as a “vital project” in a recent notification. The notification, issued by the urban development department last month and entered into the government gazette two days ago, calls it a “vital important urban transport project”. This means the collectorate will have to release the land required within a month, once the project gathers momentum. The project is estimated to cost Rs8,313 crore. This is also the first public private partnership (PPP) project to be cleared under the new Metro policy and will be put on the fast track.
