Orient Cement net loss at Rs 7.58 Crore
Orient Cement has recently reported a net loss of Rs 7.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 against a net profit of Rs 28.80 crore in the year-ago period. On an average, cement net sale realizations have been flat compared to the previous quarter and around 10 per cent lower than the same period last year. The firm expects demand to be subdued in July-September quarter due to ongoing heavy monsoon. However, good rainfall is expected to provide a strong boost to cement demand in the post monsoon months.
