Orient Bell Tiles, located at Sikandrabad (UP), has restarted another manufacturing line (MF2) that was closed for more than a couple of years. This line increases the production capacity by more than a million sq.mt per annum, and employs, an additional 100 people, the company said. The increase in manufacturing capacity reflects the increasing demand from customers for brands that provide reliable supply and a wide variety of sizes/designs in required lot sizes. Orient Bell Limited had last installed a new manufacturing line (MF4) in FY 2018-19 to manufacture large format tiles viz. Digital Glazed Vitrified Tiles (DGVT) and Polished Glazed Vitrified Tiles (PGVT). Anil Agarwal, Chief Operations Officer, shared that the production on this manufacturing line is now at full capacity. Orient Bell was trading at Rs144 per piece up by Rs0.55 or 0.38% from its previous closing on the BSE, at around 12.39 pm.
