Microsoft To Invest In Data Centres
Prompted by the pace of digitalisation and strong growth in usage of cloud, and communication and collaboration platform MS Teams, US tech giant Microsoft will do new hiring in India and make fresh financial investments in data centres. "Microsoft was among the first global data-centric companies to have India data centres. We have three data centres already operational in India and we are enhancing capacity and adding more. We are making sure that we continue to invest in that capacity within India," Anant Maheshwari, President of Microsoft. Maheshwari said Microsoft wants to maintain its business plans in India, and " our investments will continue to create digital capabilities, technology capabilities and innovation".
