Malabar cements offered discount to dealers
Malabar Cements Ltd is in the eye of the storm over allotment of cement to particular dealers offering discounts worth Rs 2.70 crore. The allegation is that discount worth Rs 2.7 crore has led to fall in profit realisation of the company is factually erroneous. Officials of the industries department said, “If offering discount or incentive of Rs 16.85 crore by MCL to the dealers during a period of three years against a turnover of over Rs 900 crore is termed a conspiracy, then all these involved have to be booked.”
