MahaMetro starts survey of properties located on two routes
The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (MahaMetro) on Friday said it has initiated a baseline survey of properties, including homes, slums and shops, which will be demolished since they fall on Metro route. As many as 688 properties have been identified at various locations so far. Of these, MahaMetro officials have surveyed 396 properties and there is a plan to complete the survey of the remaining properties in the next one month. During their visits, MahaMetro officials are seeking details of the properties, their owners, family members and their economic background. “This home-to-home survey started in the first week of June. Once completed, it will help us to prepare a detailed report of the properties required to be shifted or demolished to make way for the Metro constructions,” the officials said.
