Kamdhenu's net profit grows 114% in Q1 FY19

Kamdhenu, a manufacturer and seller of TMT Bars, reported a growth of 114% in its net profit during the quarter ending June 2018. Its profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 5.91 crore as against Rs 2.75 crore it recorded in the similar quarter previous fiscal. The company's net income stood at Rs 399.83 crore as against Rs 235.96 crore it recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. "Steel business contributed 88% of revenues whereas 12% came from the paint division," the company said in a media release. Satish Kumar Agarwal, chairman & managing director said, "The growth is driven by our strong execution strategies supported by strong demand for infrastructure development."
