JSW to set up 10 mt steel plant in Odisha
Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Group has committed an investment of Rs 50,000 crore in Odisha for a 10 million-tonne (mt) steel project. This plan was revealed by Sajjan Jindal, Group Chairman, JSW on Friday after meeting Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during an investors' meet in Bengaluru. The government of Odisha is in discussions with JSW Steel to find out a suitable location. Once the company brings a detailed proposal, the government can provide them approval within a month,” according to the Sanjiv Chopra, principal secretary for industries, Odisha.
