JSW Appoints Nikhil Chaturvedi As Group Chief Digital Officer
JSW Steel appointed Nikhil Chaturvedi as its Chief Digital Officer. With this move, Chaturvedi has relocated to India from Japan, where he served as the VP for Energy & Natural Resources industries in Asia Pacific at SAP Japan. Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad and MBA from JBIMS, University of Mumbai. During the last two and half decades of his professional career, Chaturvedi has been associated with engineering operations and IT & Management consultancies across the globe. He is joining JSW Group from SAP Japan where he was the Digital Leader for its Energy & Natural Resources businesses across AsiaPacific. Chaturvedi’s exposure to Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Utilities industries brings in unique domain insights to apply to the overall digital transformation agenda of the JSW Group. JSW’s digital transformation journey began in 2017 through its Steel business and the launch of Project Athena. During these years, JSW Steel has harnessed digital technologies to enhance its safety profile, drive business growth, optimize costs and accrued cost savings of more than INR 1,200 crore.
