J K Lakshmi cement posts 13 per cent rise
JK Lakshmi Cement reported a growth of 13% in its consolidated income during the financial year 2016-17. Company’s consolidated income stood at Rs 3413.69 crore. It registered a net profit of Rs 87.30 crore as against the Rs 4.32 crore profit it made in the previous fiscal. The company’s operating margins increased to 13% in FY 17 from 10% in FY 16. Company’s net income during the Q4 2016-1717 registered a growth of 11% and stood at Rs 930.57 crore. Its net profit stood at Rs 20.85 crore in Jan-Mar 2017 as against Rs 25.87 crore it registered in Jan-Mar 2016, recording a decline of 24%. It increased its cement capacity at Durg plant from 1.8 million tonnes to 2.7 million tonnes, the company said in a BSE filing.
