Housing.com Opens Office in Vizag
India’s leading full-stack online real estate platform Housing.com has announced the launch of its operations in the city of Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The move by the REA India-owned online portal comes at a time when residential real estate sales is picking up pace and people are increasingly turning to online platforms to search for the right property. This move is part of the company’s strategy to expand its business in tier II cities across India. Recently the company announced its expansion into North India’s Tier-II cities of Jaipur, Lucknow and Chandigarh. Amit Masaldan, Business Head, Housing.com, said: “In this day and age when technology has made property purchases a hassle-free experience, more and more people are closing home purchases with the help of online platforms that make this journey smooth. This trend is even more visible in tier-II cities like Vizag.” “Housing.com’s IRIS index revealed that online searches for residential properties touched an all-time high in September 2021, with Vizag featuring on the top-20 cities list on Housing.com’s monthly index. The growth was on the back of positive consumer outlook amid easing concerns on the Covid-19 front, historically low home loan interest rates and flexible payment plans being offered by realtors to attract homebuyers. The trend is expected to continue and the industry is poised for a sustained growth in demand. The opening of our new office in the city demonstrates how positive we feel about the extraordinary potential this market offers an online platform like ours,” Masaldan added. The new office of Housing.com is located at Siripuram. The company’s sales & marketing personnel, data experts, etc., will be operating from here and will help it cover a market where there has been a great spike in consumer interest for both builder partners and broker partners because of the increase in demand. The largest and most populous city in Andhra Pradesh, with a population of nearly 2.2 million people, Vizag is also regarded as the city of the future, thanks to the projected petrochemical complex, the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor, and the Bhogapuram International Airport. Over the last few decades, the city has grown from a little fishing village to a thriving metropolis.
