Grohe India, sanitary products and systems provider, is planning to expand its operations to 20-25 cities in 2017, said company’s Managing Director Renu Misra. Misra expects a better market share after the completion of takeover by Lixil Group in September this year. “Grohe along with American Standard (another company purchased by Lixil Group in 2013, which is now trying to expand its footprint in India) will strengthen our position across country.” Speaking about the industry, she said that the unorganised sector in faucet, sanitary ware and kitchen segments will continue to exist as rural areas is just moving into sanitation. However, the change being brought by developers in tier-II and tier-III cities and growth in the hospitality sector will allow the sector to achieve 100% growth in the next two years.
