Grohe, a sanitary fittings provider, has reduced the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of certain sanitary products by 8%. The cut has been made to comply with anti-profiteering measures for those products where the rate of GST has changed from 28% to 18%. Shubhajit Sen, country head, Grohe India said “Price excluding GST will stay the same and GST charged will get down from 28% to 18% in respect of Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) where the GST rates have undergone change. This means that overall price including GST to project customer/developer shall go down by 8%." The company however says that the billing price (before GST) charged to the channel partners will remain unchanged. “The GST charged on such billing price will be based on revised GST rates in effect at the time of invoicing,” added Sen.
