Geberit to enter high end ceramic market
Geberit, a Swiss multinational group specialized in manufacturing and supplying sanitary parts, is planning to enter the high-end ceramics market in India. The company is also looking for acquisitions in order to gain sizeable market share market in the ceramics and other sanitaryware products. Geberit, which is a major player in “behind the wall” plumbing and piling solutions, is also preparing to launch pre-fabricated toilets and advanced shower toilets in coming months to expand its market in sanitary industry. Abubaker Koya, Managing Director Geberit India feels that due to the paucity of skilled labour and time and the need to speedup projects, the market will move towards pre-fabricated and fully built type of engineered toilets. “Going forward, our focus would be on pre-fabricated toilets which are becoming a trend and a logical development in the building industry,” says Koya.
