City pays homage to its founder, Tata Steel promises better Jamshedpur
City paid homage to its founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata on his 180th birth anniversary. Tata Sons chairman, N Chandrasekaran paid tribute to the greater visionary and promised a better city and a better tomorrow. Chandrasekaran arrived at the Tata Steel Works along with Koushik Chatterjee, executive director and chief financial officer, Tata Sons and Tata Steel CEO and managing director, T.V. Narendran. Also present was former Tata Steel managing director J.J. Irani and other dignitaries. Tata Steel showcased its tryst with ‘Technovation’ . The theme of this year’s celebration was ‘Technovation’. More than 35 departments and subsidiaries of Tata Sons participated pageantry to pay homage to the founder. Jamshedpur FC players also participated in the parade as a part of corporate services. About 10 subsidiaries also presented beautiful tableau representing their area of improvement and achievements. “I feel great to be here on this occasion. I am happy that Jamshedpur has completed its 100 years with the support of the entire community. We hope that it continues for the next 100 years as Tata Steel is already on growth chart,” said Chandrasekaran in a media briefing.
