Centrum to start housing finance company
The Centrum group, controlled by banker Jaspal Brinda, has received the licence to start a housing finance company from regulator National ousing Bank.
“This is a significant move for the group as we have traditionally been a fee-based business,“ chairman Bindra told. “We are looking to diversify our service offerings in secured lending with a focus on housing finance & SME lending.”
Centrum is looking to tap into small cities and towns, as he said there was “significant demand for end-user housing in the relatively under serviced and untapped tier II & III cities”
