Arcelormittal Nippon Steel Receive NCLT Approval
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India received approval from NCLT Cuttak for its resolution plan for OSPIL (Odisha Slurry Pipeline Infrastructure Ltd) that provides a crucial raw material linkage by connecting the iron ore beneficiation plant in Dabuna to the pellet plant in Paradip, Odisha. In step with its efforts towards value chain integration, AM/NS India also completed the acquisition of the 500 MW Bhander Power Plant which will meet up to 60% of captive power needs at AM/NS India’s steel manufacturing operations in Hazira. The company was also selected as the preferred bidder for the 5.5 million tonne Thakurani iron ore mine in Odisha in March. Located strategically close to AM/NS India operations, it is tipped to strengthen the company's raw material security.
