AP to get Rs 300 crore plant set up by USG Boral
USG Boral, a company who makes building material such as plaster boards, ceiling files and substrates, said it will invest about Rs 300 crore in setting up its third plant Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The plant, which will employ about 100 workers, will be in a location which allows 30 million square meter of capacity to make plaster boards and is more than three times the size of the company’s plant in Khushkera, Rajasthan. USG Boral is banking on the increased construction activity in India. The building construction sector in India contributes to about 5 per cent to 6 per cent of the country’s GDP and employs more than 33 million people.
