Wonder Cement hopes to achieve 6.5 million tonne capacity

Wonder Cement will be looking to achieve the capacity of 6.5 million tonnes by the end of this financial year, said Jagdish Chandra, managing director of the company. The focus this year is to optimise cost of production. The company had clocked the capacity of 5.3 million tonnes previous year. This increase would mean that the company will be looking at a growth of anything between 20-25% in revenue in FY19. "Our revenue had grown by about 20% in FY18 and similar growth is expected in this financial year," said Chandra. Currently, company's major revenue (about 75%) comes from Rajasthan, Western MP and North Gujarat. However, due to GST, the company expect to cut down warehouse presence by 20-30% in coming time.
