Welspun Flooring Receive Zero Waste Certification

Welspun Flooring Limited, a fully integrated and independent flooring vertical of USD 2.7 billion Welspun Group, has become the first company in the world to be awarded a certification under the new Zero Waste Standard implemented by SCS Global Services - a global leader in third-party environmental and sustainability certi?cation services. The company’s manufacturing facility in Telangana has achieved 98% diversion of waste from landfills enabled by a sustainability-focused waste management strategy consisting of recycling, waste reclamation, co-processing (including waste-to-energy), composting and storage. Welspun Flooring is steadily advancing towards sustainable manufacturing by adopting a zero-impact, circular approach to all its operations. These range from the sourcing of raw materials and manufacturing to waste recycling and management. The organisation diligently tracks the progress of its waste minimization and diversion accomplishments through internal record-keeping as it moves towards meeting all of its sustainable waste commitments.
