Visaka Industries Provides Its Innovative Solution ATUM for Air India SATS’s Walkway

Visaka Industries Limited, one of India’s leading manufacturers delivering innovative and sustainable products for construction and textile industries globally, today announced that it has provided its innovative solution ATUM to Air India SATS Airports Services Private Limited (AISATS), a leading gateway services and food solutions provider in Asia, for building a sustainable off-grid air-conditioned walkways. ATUM walkway will provide a superior level of comfort to all the customers with smooth access for people with reduced mobility while they board the aircraft. ATUM is an integrated solar roo?ng system that serves all the functions of a traditional roof whilst giving 20% more output than conventional solar panels. It has integrated solar panels with a fibre cement base made of Vnext boards that regulates temperature with higher efficiency. AISATS ATUM walkways consist of eight ATUM panels of 2.5 kW that charges four batteries of 150 Ah each. This off-grid solution can work up to six hours with-holding a weight of over 300kgs on the roof, and powers two air conditioners of 0.75 tons each. This fire-resistant and shockproof walkway can also withstand winds up to 200 kilometres per hour, which was one of the topmost requirements of Air India SATS that the walkway survives varying wind conditions at the apron.
