The Hyderabad-based Sagar Cements has announced a 29.8 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 15.2 crore for the quarter ended March 2016 following lower income from operations.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 21.7 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2014-15, Sagar Cements said in a regulatory filing.
The total income from operations dropped to Rs 153.4 crore, from Rs 181.3 crore in the year-ago period.
According to PTI, “The expenses of the company fell to Rs 135.10 crore, from Rs 145.8 crore a year earlier.”
"In respect of standalone results, the figures of the last quarter are balancing figure between the audited figures in respect of the full financial year and published year-to-date figures up to third quarter of the current financial year," the company said.
In a separate filing, the company said its board has not recommended any further dividend and the interim dividend already declared by them at Rs 5 per share at their meeting held in March is the one for the fiscal ended March 2016.
