Labour Department Ramban, started registration of construction workers under Mission Mode Project (MMP) launched by the UT Government to facilitate the labourers with various welfare schemes and financial benefits.
Under the programme, a profiling of all workers, who returned to Jammu and Kashmir during the lockdown, would be carried out to upgrade their skills to match the local jobs for securing a gainful employment. The department would register the BOC workers besides activating the inactive BOC workers.
Meantime, Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Rakesh Arora appealed eligible people to register themselves as early as possible to avail the benefit of schemes launched by the department. The total annual registration fee is Rs. 140 including charges of registration and Passbook.
